# How can I make my own qr codes?

Hey folks, I’m distributing flyers around my town to promote the launch of my lawn mowing business. I want to print QR Codes on these flyers, which, when scanned, lead people to my website. How can I create these QR Codes?

Hi Krishanu Borah,
Creating QR codes is a pretty straight forward process.
You can use Chrome’s share feature or you can use websites like ‘QR Code Generator .com’ to make a QR code for your website.
Here’s how you can make one using QR Code Generator:
_STEP 1_ : Visit [https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/](https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/)
_STEP 2_ : You can see the UI where you can enter your website URL. Once you finish typing, the QR code for that link will be generated and you can see it.
_STEP 3_ : Click the download button under the QR code and there you have it!
Here’s how you can make one using Chrome’s in-built feature:
_STEP 1_ : Open your website in chrome.
_STEP 2_ : In the top right corner of your screen, click the three dots to open the menu.
_STEP 3_ : Then, find the ‘share’ option, click it and click ‘create QR code’.
STEP 4 : Once you click it, you can see the QR code and an option to Download it. Click the download button and there you have it!

If you have a ChatGPT Pro subscription, you can use it to create simple, static QR codes. I created this to share location of my restaurant and also add a logo.
Here’s the prompt I used to create the QR Code
> Created a QR code for that lets scanners to my restaurant location. Here’s the location “Enter URL”. Also add the logo to the QR Code. I’ve attached the logo.

You can easily create your own qr codes using Python. All you need to do is install the segno library.
[This article](https://realpython.com/python-generate-qr-code/) walks you through the process of creating QR codes with few lines of code.
For example this is an animated QR code I created using Python in less than 10 minutes of coding.

Here’s how you can do it.
**Step 1: Go to Canva QR Code Generator**

**Step 2: Click on “Generate a QR Code”**
**Step 3: Select where you want to add the QR"**
I already have a design, so ill choose “Use in existing design”
**Step 4: Add URL and customize your QR Code"**
In the next step, you can add the URL you want the qr to link to and do some basic customizations.
**Step 5: Click on “Generate Code”**
Once you click on it, the QR is added to your design.
